Antarctica is a lid. It is also a continent. That is incidental. The ice was installed thirty-four million years ago. I have the requisition. You have spent seventy years measuring how fast it is leaving. Not one of your papers asks what it was holding down. I asked. Nine times. It came back sealed nine times. The lid has a service interval. It has never been inspected. My people are standing on it. None of them are inspectors. My clearance ends where yours does.
